Understanding Rural and Indigenous Participation in Clinical Research with Alzheimer’s Disease Research Centers
Lead: Dr. Kristen Jacklin
Aim/Goal: This project aims to understand the factors that would prevent or help attract more rural (and Indigenous) participation in clinical trials for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. The project will include a scoping review of existing research, interviews with rural physicians, a focus group with healthy older adults who have memory concerns, and an online survey of coordinators at Alzheimer’s Disease Research Centers around the US.
Status: Scoping review ongoing; other components in planning stages
